The Client:
The Jewish South Summer Institute, held in 2019, was a new initiative of the Jewish Studies Program, in association with Addlestone Library, at the College of Charleston (in Charleston, SC). Scholars and educators applied to attend and participate in this two-week long, in-person, intensive study seminar.
The Challenge:
The Institute, which was funded by the National Endowment for Humanities (NEH), had strict guidelines about promoting and publishing information, including creating a website for the program. Additionally, we only had two weeks to produce the site, after the grant was awarded.
The Solution:
We created a WordPress site that included important information about the participant sessions and logistics. Archival photos were added to lend atmosphere and context to the site. Interest in the Institute exceeded attendees pace. Ongoing updates and sharing of resources continues on the site.
